This is a mini CSI with four clues on only 3 pages. This makes it easy to print out and use is perfect to have on hand as a fun shorter Maths activity.

Four maths clues are included, which your students will need to solve in order to uncover which unicorn is actually a horse in disguise!

In this activity you have discovered that one of your unicorns is not who they say they are, they are instead a horse! Students have to complete four clues and cross off suspects as they go. This is a mini CSI so it shouldn’t take students too long to complete, great for when time is pressing but you want to fit a bit of fun maths in! 

The maths concepts covered are listed below.

  • Read and write multi-digit whole numbers
  • Multiplication and division.
  • Adding equivalent fractions with the same denominator and simplifying.
  • Converting between minutes, hours, and seconds.
