A great Valentine’s Day maths activity!
Students have to use their maths skills to eliminate monster suspects so they can find out who stole the monster teachers Valentine’s Day cupcakes!
Five clues are given to the students, and each clue (worksheet) allows them to eliminate 1-2 suspects.
- Clue 1. Hidden message – matching percentages and fractions to decimals.
- Clue 2. Heavy bags – adding decimals.
- Clue 3. Cupcake box – calculating volume.
- Clue 4. Distance from crime – distance conversions.
- Clue 5. Valentine treats – word problems.
The pack also includes an extension writing activity for early finishers – a Valentine’s story.
