Number Knowledge:
  • Working with whole numbers up to 1,000.
  • Understanding Place Value: Hundreds, Tens, and Ones.
  • Rounding: Rounding numbers to the nearest 10.
  • Sequence: Finding 1 More / 1 Less and 10 More / 10 Less
Representation & Fluency:
  • Word Form: Writing the unique name for each numeral.
  • Expanded Form: Partitioning numbers into their sum of parts (e.g., 100+30+4=134).
  • Number Lines: Estimating and locating numbers on 0–100 and 0–1000 number lines.
  • Place Value Charts: Breaking down numbers into H/T/O columns.
Sample Activities:
Each slide features a “Target Number” (ranging from 2-digit reviews like 52 to 3-digit challenges like 134 or 678) and asks students to:
  1. Find 10 more and 10 less.
  2. Round the number to the nearest 10.
  3. Identify how many Hundreds, Tens, and Ones.
  4. Write the number in expanded notation (___ + ___ + ___).
  5. Locate the number on a provided number line.
