Description

Your students will love practising their addition and subtraction facts in a crime scene investigation bug-themed challenge. In this activity, the classroom has been taken over by bugs, so the exterminator has been called. But there is a problem – the teacher has a pet bug that they want to be saved! Students need to solve a series of clues to figure out which bug is the teacher’s pet and save it from getting squished!

This Addition and Subtraction CSI Maths Challenge features the following activities:

  1. Clue 1: Two-digit plus two-digit addition
  2. Clue 2: Two-digit subtraction
  3. Clue 3: Addition word problems.
  4. Clue 4: Odds and evens, and simple addition.
  5. Clue 5: Hidden Message. Mix of addition and subtraction.
