Description

These activities have been created to specifically support the teaching and learning of the target sound and letter /l/ (short vowel sound). 

With initial modelling and scaffolding, these activities are intended to be completed independently to build students’ skills in following instructions, fine motor skills and stamina to complete tasks.

Three practice activities:

  • I Spy: Students look for and circle all words, pictures and letters that start with the target sound.
  • Handwriting Practice: Students trace over the letters and words using the target sound.
  • Word Find: Students look for and find the words using the target sound.
