Description

This resource provides follow-up activities for the Ready to Read Gold Level readers found in New Zealand schools. An engaging “Must Do, Choose Two” format is used to develop your students sense of agency and choice.
Please note, to use this resource, you need to have access to the Gold Level Ready to Read readers, found in New Zealand primary schools.
 
Higher-order thinking questions challenge students to read deep and think critically about the passages. These activities meet many of the requirements for the New Zealand Literacy Skills Progressions for Reading. These are skills that your students need!

In this Ready to Ready Gold Level reading comprehension pack you will receive:
1. 14 engaging follow-up activities – one for each of the current Gold level Ready to Read series.

2. A range of engaging activities. Each activity sheet features seven activities and a range of higher-order thinking skills, including analysing, evaluating and creating.
Reading Comprehension Strategies and Higher-Order Thinking included:
