Phonics and Structured Literacy Activities: Consonant Digraph SH

Description

The activities have been created to specifically support the teaching and learning of the consonant digraph ‘sh’.

With initial modelling and scaffolding, these activities are intended to be completed independently to build students’ skills in following instructions, fine motor skills and stamina to complete tasks.

Three practice activities:

• Listen and Write: Students look at each picture. Students circle each sound in the word from the letters provided and write the word.
• Add the Letters and Draw: Students add the letters sh to the words. Students draw a picture of the new word they have created.
• I Spy: Students look for and circle all the pictures, words and letters that have the sh sound, either at the start or end of the word.
