Description

This palaeontology lesson includes a PowerPoint presentation on fossil formation. Then, it leads your students to a pretend dig where they have to try to figure out what the animal is from the fossil bones found.

This engaging activity will captivate your students and stimulate their intellectual curiosity, allowing them to think and learn like real palaeontologists.

This lesson includes a PowerPoint slide and some handouts for your students to fill out. In the first part of the lesson, your students learn about fossils. In the second part, your students work in small groups to carry out the work of a palaeontologist as they try to uncover what the mystery animal is.
