This NZ School Journal Task Cards resource provides a fantastic entry point for reading School Journal articles and stories based on New Zealand historical people, places, events and artefacts. We’ve selected 72 texts from a mix of Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 School Journals (2012-2022). 40 task cards are provided for students to select from. These activities will work across many of the texts, giving you and your students flexibility.
A full print and digital set are included. We recommend using the digital set with Google Slides or Microsoft One Drive.
We’ve provided an engaging hook to get your students’ imagination flowing – an exciting night at the museum. Students read NZ School Journal stories and articles that feature a New Zealand history focus. They choose task cards to complete, earn gear to make their overnight stay more comfortable and collect tickets from various museum exhibitions.
